Qui sommes nous ? About ?

All about balance.

(English below)

EASY-SLACKLINE.FR aims to make slackline practice as simple and affordable as possible. To spread slackline to as many people as possible.

Born from the ashes of Slack.fr, EASY SLACKLINE focuses mainly on leisure activities with kits and equipment to set up slacklines from 15 to 50m.

EASY SLACKLINE consist in simple tensioning systems with ratchet and primitive.

Who is now behind the EASY SLACKLINE brand?

Thibaut (photo above) is a former employee of Slack.fr. It was him who was on the field (or on the phone), to bring up the needs of clients. In October 2018, he partially left Slack.fr to develop in parallel his event project of high altitude/air shows: "Connexion Outdoor".

In June 2019, he decided to create the EASY SLACKLINE brand following the definitive closure of Slack.fr. Its goal: to make the practice of slackline as simple and affordable as possible in order to perpetuate the spread of slackline to as many people as possible.

A brand with quality products, technical and transparent advice and above all a proximity in the exchange!
It reduces the product range to make it more understandable and affordable to the uninitiated and beginners.

That's why some of you will see similarities or continuity between the two brands, that's the goal!

Good slack!

A bientôt

Slackline Yoga - Fitness

Life and Death are a thread - one line viewed from different sides

and all experience lies in between

YogaSlacker Mantra

Adi Carter - Yogaslacker

Adi is a yoga teacher who decided to take her yoga practice off the mat and onto a line. As part of Team YogaSlackers (www.yogaslackers.com) she can be found rigging a slackline in all sorts of unusual places, especially in NYC. Considered a form of meditation for people who have trouble sitting still, slackline yoga is a wonderful way to develop focus, concentration and of course, balance.

Team YogaSlacker - Une aventure des plus durs

Team YogaSlackers finishes 13th in the 2007 USARA National Championships Potosi, MO (Nov 4, 2007)

At 7:00 AM Saturday morning, team members Jason Magness, Mark Lattanzi, and Sara Dallman lined up with 240 (80 teams) of the nation's best adventure athletes. The temps were in the high twenties, and the race began with the teams of three spitting up – two starting with a paddle on a misty lake, while the other team member ran 3 miles to collect the race maps before meeting the paddlers across the lake. Following the paddle was an orienteering section which saw competitors thrashing through the woods collecting checkpoints.

Team YogaSlacker's Mark Lattanzi led the team with expert navigation and they finished this leg in 12th, less than 15 minutes behind the lead team.

During the following mountain bike leg, the team stopped to help two fellow teams by loaning out a pump and a chain tool. Minutes later, Magness hit a sharp rock putting two inch gash into his tire. The subsequent repair of the tire, and several more flats, took 45 minutes to rectify, In the end, Magness's tire was wrapped with several layers of duct tape. The fiasco cost the team 45 minutes, and they dropped to 25th place.

During the next eight hours the trio pressed hard, running the next trekking section and then dragging their canoe through much of the overgrown paddle. As the sun set, the temps dropped quickly, and many teams (wet from the paddle) had problems with hypothermia. Rather than stop to warm up at the fire at the paddle/trek transition area, the YogaSlackers passed through fairly quickly, running the hills to get their body heat up.

Smart navigation choices and strong running and biking saw the team move up in the ranks. On the final bike to the finish, the YogaSlackers was racing neck and neck with Team Bike Iowa II. As they approached the finish line through the YMCA lodge complex, Magness flew over his handlebars while descending a steep stairway, destroying an outdoor light fixture with his head! After a moment to clear his head, the team finished, just seconds behind Bike Iowa II.

Ironically, due to a 5 minute time credit (for stopping to help other
teams) YogaSlackers will rank ahead anyway, and could have avoided the spill.

Team members were happy with their results.

What's Next?

Teammates Sam Salwei and Jason Schaeffer were recently in DC presenting as part of the PowerShift 2007 conference on climate change and environmental sustainability. Teammate Paul Cassedy and team Barely Legal/YogaSlackers will be racing this weekend in the GoldRush 24 hour race in California.

Jason will be teaching acroyoga and slackline workshops in LA this weekend, and racing in El Tour de Tucson (109 mile perimeter ride) on the 17th.

January will see Mark Lattanzi in the UK for two race – the Tough Guy, and the worlds northernmost 24 Mt. bike race. Sam, Jason, Paul and Paige will be at the Yoga Journal Conference in San Francisco, and the Outdoor Retail winter market.

February will see a flurry of activity, with several teammembers competing in the 135 mile winter ultramarathon – the arrowhead 135. This is arguably the hardest non-stop footrace in the world, and has only ever been completed by 3 people Arrowheadultra. Immediately following the Ultra the 2XtM 08 expedition begins.2XTM

Yesterday we had some bear news, today is gorilla day. In the Dutch Volkskrant newspaper a newsitem can be found about a slacklining gorilla in the Higashiyama Zoo in the Japanese city Nagoya.

A ten year old Western Lowland gorilla named Shabani started walking on a rope that was meant for hanging on. Shabani weighs 110 kilogrammes (220 pounds) and lived in Sydney’s Taronga Zoo before moving to Japan.

You might understand that the Japanese Zoo has no lack of visitors at this moment.

Slackline Kit - Slack.fr - Pulley Tightnening System - Review by Noah Kaufman

My name is Noah Kaufman.

I began slacklining in 1996 and was amazed by the freedom of balance my brother had on the line. When he showed me how to sit down and stand up for the first time, I knew I had found a very special activity. I have always pushed my limits in rock climbing, so it was easy to start trying to do the same on the slackline. It was different back then, there weren't any slackliners around, and the few who were around mostly just tried to walk across the line. No one saw the potential for slack tricks, and we had no teachers. This was an amazing time of discovery.

As far as I knew, I was the first to do the backflip dismount, the splits on the line and numerous other easier tricks. I went through many phases during the years: highlines, taught lines, loose lines, chains. I walked with Chongo, Dean, Scott Balcom, Matt Wilder and others who were pushing the limits in their own way. It was definitely a high point in my Slacking life to get the First Slack (FS) with Matt Wilder of the 2-person "Crossing the Line" move. It's great to see all these new dedicated slackers taking the lead and doing new tricks and highlines.

Recently I have fallen in love with long sessions. Absorbed in the now, sometimes listening to music, I am enthralled with the awareness and focus that I attain from long mellow sessions in beautiful places such as Yosemite National Park. I love slacklining and will do it as long as I can. I can't wait to see what the future brings for our amazing sport!

Over the years, many companies have sent me lines to try out and I recently had the pleasure of receiving a line from slack.fr. This line is the best set up I have seen. Not only is it professionally manufactured and easy to use, it is also slick: it just looks good. I have taught several classes with this line and the balance is perfect. It seems to make all my tricks easier to perform as well. I'm still trying to figure out why this is, but currently I believe it has to do with the overall quality of materials and construction. I wouldn't buy any other line at this point, it's the best.

Internet Cafe In RodEz

Hello Folks,
I moved to Rodez, a city which is located in the Aveyron. This state belongs to the south od France where people have a singing accent.
I will stay there for nearly three months...The atsmophere is quiet and the life style is relax. This morning I went at the open market to buy some bread and vegetable. A colorful market with a lot of home made product, not expensive, such as goat cheese, ham, pastries...
My office-bedroom-kitchen is not big. I mean, it is small (15 square meter) for a couple. I don't know how long will we manage it well. Currently, we are trying to keep it clean and workable...But it is time consuming. Therefore, we don't want to stay too much inside which is good since it leads us to do many activities.

PrimitiV Versatile Compact Kit

That's it, I designed and release my new kit for 2007. It is the PrimitiV Versatile Compact Kit (such a name isn'it!).
It is light, affordable and stylish. From my point of view this is the best system for short to middle line (3-10 meters).
With other webbing this primitive tensionning system is not good enough since it allows a small mechanical advantage (3:1). I designed my webbing to fit perfectly with this tensionning system and it works well!
Of course, one cannot rigg long line or overtight small one. Meanwhile this kit is light and compact, one can easily put it everywhere.

Nearly a full week without posting

This week has been very busy. A lot of work and parties. I start to be moody again since I am cooling down...I am not use to feel bored. Currently, I wait the final technical drawing of my double pulleys (the next generation). I will meet my main supplier this WE in Paris.
It is quite funny to meet a professional partner in reality and not only on the phone or by email. I will do my best to not only speack about pulleys and karabiners developments...
We made a huge party on saturday night. In between 50 to 60 persons were there. Our flat was crowded. For the first time, we decided to open three rooms in a row.
Massive space,isn'it?

The following day, we all faced a huge hang over. My mind blurred my ability to think properly. Marcos and I decided to challenge ourselves by a chess game. Afterward, it was not such a clever idea. The game was endless...at least 4 hours.
We finished like this:

I also received my new product a ski cap. Each piece is gonna be unique. It is made by a Lotti from her eco-farm. Every single piece is 100% natural and that's why this ski cap is very ROOTS and get KARMA. I will not make any profit out of it since Karma doesn't mix well with profit.
I love it!

Vesoul: 100% free ride - part 2

This farmer was very proud of his bull balls and brave enought to took them firmly. It's true, man, they are as impressive as you're dangerous...lol!
This one was glad to explain everything he knew about cattling and good meat. We also tested some piece of red meat. It was testy, juicy and incredibly melting in the mouth.

Vesoul: 100% free ride

I just passed my WE with some friends in Vesoul. We went to the Festviande 2006. It's contest in which each cattle farmer show his best bull. Of course, this sounds special for a WE journey and it is special, indeed!
To get a fully understanding of it one might want to know where Vesoul is located. Vesoul is the major city of a french "disaster county" the "Haute Saône". Its economy is bad since all the biggest company moved abroad years ago.
From my point of view most of the work comes from farming since this city is not well connected to bigger cities (few trains, bad road, no airport). The sun barely shines through massive grey clouds...To sum up: the whole atmosphear is not appealling.
Nevertheless we med a lot of nice farmers. They are enthousiastics and deeply involved when we asked questions on cattling. They love theirs animals and the good food!
